Hello, my name is David Bayer, a graphic designer, illustrator and artist specialising in logo designs and artwork.
Working based in Japan for 13 years, running my own business, creating curriculum and content for language schools, I developed a style based on the Japanese concept of Shokunin 職人 (artisan).
Every artwork - picture, poster, design and logo - is approached with mindfulness. For the client, the ethos translates to a business culture of care and good humour.
Designs I create are an investment crafted to continually communicate your message 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
I love that my craft commits me to learn about new industries and people. Their goals and future ambitions inform work intended to present information to the world in unique and innovative ways.
My key creative advantage is an ability to listen, understand and empathise with the challenge.
Establishing a comfortable and positive environment in which to communicate is a strength I bring to every collaboration. Ensuring my openness to new ideas and changes during the process is essential to delivering the best possible outcomes.
This is what we will do, happily create your designs together.

Hi - I’m Simone Cashmore, an Auckland-based Graphic Designer with a passion for beautiful brands!
I started design-life in the Fashion industry where I fell in love with typography and found myself more consumed by the magazine layouts than the clothes on the page. This led me to Graphic Design, where I discovered a powerful medium for storytelling. From the strategy and planning, through to the creative development, it’s all part of the forming of a great piece of design and therefore a great story. I love the challenge of conveying a brand’s message simply, cohesively and beautifully.
My experience is in brand positioning & identity, print & digital marketing collateral, social media management & content creation, and I'm starting to take on more website design which has been awesome.
I love collaborating with other creative people and I believe that the best outcomes are the ones where everyone plays to their strengths and has a good time.

Fathom Associate, Scott Macdonnell owns a video production agency specialising in creating video content designed to primarily engage the audience, but also deliver on critical commercial objectives with a marketing perspective.
As Director of NZ Fishing World, a fully digital media platform, Scott’s work in video production has evolved from client’s demands for this hungrily consumed format.
His clients are commonly from the marine industry where a specific range of skills and equipment are required to produce video content in the harsh oceanic environments. Moving subjects and horizons, harsh sun, wind and salt spray can provide a considerable challenge for film production.
By no means limited to the water, Scott is more than happy working on land-based clients where he finds the environment is more easily controlled and has produced work recently such as for FUSO Trucks and Tairawhiti Gisborne Tourism.
Scott’s production values suit SME clients requiring cost-effective video created on a limited budget for online marketing purposes.
With over twenty years of corporate marketing experience, including senior marketing management roles with Mitsubishi Motors, Mediaworks (TV3), Television New Zealand, MSN, and Fairfax, Scott is fluent in all mainstream media. He understands the critical aspects of the customer journey and will ensure that end outcomes are considered within the project.
It’s not just about shooting pretty pictures, and this is important when constructing video-based marketing initiatives.
Results matter, and having also owner-operated a large Avanti Bicycles retail outlet for 6 years, Scott appreciates the nature, challenges and opportunities in the retail market, and the importance of every dollar spent on promotional collateral.
With so much customer-facing and service experience, you’ll find Scott easy to work with.
Using DSLR, small cinema cameras, gimbals, and drones, no location is impossible, and all briefs are welcome.
